Edging and joints
We edge and joint the slab where required. We can use a jointing tool before the concrete sets, or make saw cuts afterward with a concrete saw. For saw-cut joints, we wait until the concrete is firm enough to cut without tearing.
Curing starts after finishing
We begin curing as soon as finishing is complete. Kahului records 3,981 annual cooling degree days, measured against a base of 65°F; curing is part of our work here, not a step we leave until later.
Preparing for an overlay
For an overlay, we prepare the existing concrete surface before applying the repair. We select the method for the damage and condition already present rather than treating every walkway as the same repair.
